Sustainability on Sea festival (SOS) is a Transition Town Hastings project delivered in partnership with Hastings Furniture Service, Energise Sussex Coast and the Bexhill and Hastings United Nations Association.

SOS focuses on sustainable initiatives across Hastings and St Leonards. The aim is to promote a sustainable future and support and promote those who are playing their role towards this goal.

Events and activities span the area from Winchelsea in the east to Bexhill in the west.

Sustainability is an increasingly serious and urgent topic but that’s not to say we can’t have fun! With activities from beach cleans to bike rides, activism to food sharing, there is something for everyone.

SOS brings together a wide range of sustainable projects organised under the globally recognised One Planet Living ten theme framework; ten simple principles that cover all aspects of social, environmental and economic sustainability.
