Fungi walk with Geoff Dann

September 26 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Donation towards Friends of Alexandra Park
Foraging_mushrooms

Geoff Dann is the UK’s leading authority on fungi foraging.

A walk to teach people about the relevance of fungi to sustainability and showing the great variety of fungi that are edible. Geoff will also be emphasising the importance of fungi ecologically, and that there’s a little-known but profound connection with fossil fuels and climate change.

He will explain why fungi are so important today and will be making a case for leaving dead wood in place where ever possible, instead of “clearing it up”.

Meeting point will be the car park near Harmer’s pond. A donation will be asked for towards the work of Friends of Alexandra Park.

IMPORTANT: Come armed with cash to buy a signed copy of Geoff’s exceptional book (£20/£30 paperback/hardback).
