Female Pirate Printer Demonstration

Goat Ledge Promenade Lower Promenade, Warrior Square, St Leonards, East Sussex

This demonstration at is a homage to an experimental printmaking project in Berlin that uses urban structures like manhole covers, grids, technical objects and other surfaces of the urban landscape, to create unique graphical patterns on streetwear basics, fabrics and paper. Every piece is hand printed, on-site in the public space, as a footprint of the city. A tribute to the Group called Raubdruckerin which interestingly means ‘female pirate printer’ in German. Free community garden project on the grounds of the Y Centre. The community garden sessions take place on a Sunday each week 1pm–3pm and Wednesday 11am–3pm.
