Using specially selected timber we will look at the fascinating inner world of trees. How is wood made? How long can a tree grow? Alexandra Park is very interesting from a mycological point of view, partly because there is such a wide variety of trees, including many conifers which attract a big range of symbiotic partners. Female Pirate Printer Demonstration

This demonstration at is a homage to an experimental printmaking project in Berlin that uses urban structures like manhole covers, grids, technical objects and other surfaces of the urban landscape, to create unique graphical patterns on streetwear basics, fabrics and paper. Every piece is hand printed, on-site in the public space, as a footprint of the city. A tribute to the Group called Raubdruckerin which interestingly means ‘female pirate printer’ in German.
