Open access bicycle workshop

The Old Lifeguard Stores, on the Lower Promenade, in front of Warrior Square.

A free to access, volunteer run, weekly community bicycle workshop. We provide access to skills, advice, spare parts and tools. We help people who can’t afford to go to a bike shop, fix, build and maintain their bikes and we encourage a DIY skill sharing culture for those who wish to learn and contribute. Every Wednesday evening 6-8 PM, The Old Lifeguard Stores, on the Lower Promenade, in front of Warrior Square. If Queen Victoria is behind you, come down the steps and we’re there.

Wax Wrap Workshop

Make your own reusable wax food wraps using soy and beeswax An informal, hands-on workshop where you will learn how to make your own plastic-free reusable wax food wrap using sustainably-sourced materials including upcycled cotton, beeswax and vegan-friendly soy wax. Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Class

Walk in the woods

This will also be an opportunity to witness the achievements of our volunteer team who work hard all year round maintaining the footpaths and bridges plus keeping the stream clear and tackling such problems as litter and Japanese knotweed. Off Grid Living

This is an introductory workshop for anyone that would like to create an off grid system for their shed or van.  In this workshop you will be introduced to solar pv, battery and hydro systems. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and share your own experiences of off grid living with Energise Sussex Coast's Energy Champion Arran, who has been living off grid for many years. Calling all those yearning to sing for resistance, empowerment, connection and joy! Really excited to announce that exceptionally talented teacher Sophia Efthimious will be joining us from Lewes for this workshop. She leads harmony singing workshops for all ages and abilities, sharing traditional songs collected from around the world. Sophia will help us build vocal confidence and teach us harmonies for resistance and rebellion songs.
