More than just a beach clean - a very sociable event opening eyes to the stories behind the rubbish on our beaches. This beach was first surveyed in 2015 and to help discover the source of much of the rubbish on the beach we "pick up, identify, record, bag and bin or recycle". The information goes to a national database where the MCS can lobby Government to help reduce marine pollution (plastic bag tax, wet wipe labelling etc). For those who wish to take part…

CLIMATE CHANGE, the reality we face. Global warming, the Arctic and Antarctic ice melting, glaciers melting, rising sea levels, ocean acidification, coral bleaching, climate refugees and mass migrations, eroding soils and land desertification, food security, poorer communities and water shortages, extreme weather, flooding and droughts and marine pollution. Sew some words onto cockles and leave them in walls and windowsills for a passerby to stop and read and change how they think or feel about something.
