More than just a beach clean - a very sociable event opening eyes to the stories behind the rubbish on our beaches. This beach was first surveyed in 2015 and to help discover the source of much of the rubbish on the beach we "pick up, identify, record, bag and bin or recycle". The information goes to a national database where the MCS can lobby Government to help reduce marine pollution (plastic bag tax, wet wipe labelling etc). For those who wish to take part…

Take a guided walk with Yasmin from the Hastings Fisherman's Society to learn more about our local fishermen. Hastings is one of Britain’s oldest fishing ports. Boats have worked from the beach in front of the ancient town for over a thousand years, supplying Hastings with its basic industry and main tourist attraction.
