We are very pleased to announce a new funding award from the Chalk Cliff Trust. This will pay for a number of learning events to take place during the festival. Events include a day of activities for families and young children in Hollington Church Wood and a workshop for people with special needs using willow and recycled materials at Friary Gardens.

Thank you to the lovely people at Lush who have given £2,787 to support the activities of the Sustainability On Sea festival. The money will be used by the organisers to support the SOS events, the Big Green Fair, the beach sculpture and marketing costs.

We are really pleased to announce that the National Lottery Community Fund has awarded SOS 2019 with an Awards for All grant. Many thanks to the #NationalLottery for supporting SOS 2019. The fund will help us to include workshops, film shows, speaker talks in our programme and publicise the event to a wider audience. We want to involve as many people in the community as possible. Please get in touch if you are interested in participating.

We are looking for community groups, schools, colleges, businesses, faith groups, community centres etc to participate in SOS 2019. We want this year’s festival to reach more residents and so we are encouraging groups across the town to run their own sustainable events as part of the programme. You’ll get your event listed in our printed programme, on social media and on this website. We also want stall holders and activities for the Big green Fair on Sept 29th.
